24 Hour Dance Marathon

At noon on a chilly February 9, 2007, Metropolis in Motion started a 24-hour dance marathon to bring attention to an appeal hearing on a court case that could overturn NYC's cabaret laws. The "marathon" was more of a dance relay, with the group listed below passing the baton to cover 24 hours of non-stop dancing. Afterwards, Metropolis in Motion topped it off with the Chicken Dance and a two-hour dance party and rally in Madison Square Park, with speeches from the court case attorneys Paul Chevigny and Norman Siegel.
